Recently we exhibited at Grand Designs Live and unveiled a range of custom-built lights inside the first build of its kind, the “House Of Grand Ideas.”
Taking centre-stage inside the NEC, Birmingham Grand Designs show, this house saw the coming together of various bespoke brands for a range of luxurious, decorative finishes. Ourselves amongst other companies added a touch of personalisation and experience, with every corner of the house being visibly transformed. Floristry, furnishings, bespoke lighting, kitchen islands, home cinemas, flooring and window specialists; the attraction catered to various different elements of interior design.
Fortunate enough to be asked to design and hand-blow bespoke lighting for the majority of the home, we provided entrance lighting, kitchen pendant lighting, dining room lighting and living room lighting. All our pieces featuring contemporary, forward-thinking design and trademark craftsmanship.

Even from the outside looking in, our 5 way Temple Chandelier can be seen pulling focus and demanding intrigue from the main entrance. An awe-factor first impression for bystanders, this bespoke centrepiece features five multi stream Temple pillars assembled in a trapeze of perpendicular lines for a distinctive, luminous finish.
Designed by experienced lighting specialists and glass-blown by our skilled artisans, our custom chandelier lights give stairwells, entrance foyers, grander atriums and larger spaces the thrill they need to reach their full potential.
The full entrance view depicts a calming, muted green graham and brown mural in the backdrop and in the spotlight, a self-playing Yamaha baby grand piano, played by none other than the fantastic Kevin McCloud – Grand Designs creator and presenter.
Overhead our Leverint chandelier cascades vertically in a sea of glowing, soft light, whilst custom-built herringbone flooring sits beneath, tying these bespoke elements together.
The heart of the home AKA the kitchen, is often a space for prepping for parties and hosting and this luxurious kitchen-lighting partnership undeniably caters for all sorts of fancy occasions and relaxed gatherings.
With the finer details of our Waterloo XL pendant lights complementing this sleek, bold Nolte Küchen kitchen design, this open-plan area exudes a level of unmatched sophistication.
From glass-blowing, moulding to skilful manipulation and etching, the Waterloo XL undergoes one of the most complex pendant processes inside our workshop. The striking silhouette features a sloping curved incline and a fine ribbed twist glass profile, allowing soft light to refract and reflect exceptionally.
Durable and deeply sculptural, the Waterloo XL pendant light works best over kitchen islands, dining spaces and nooks in need of high-end upscaling.
Onto the dining room lighting where our cloud-inspired Wimbledon cluster elevates this dining space with creativity and chic charm. Bunched in a nested bouquet of curved pendant lights, this particular product casts warm illumination through transparent black shades.

Inside the living area, a divine collaboration between Mark Alexander and Penny Ann Interiors gives rise to luxury furnishings, natural textures and contemporary styling – with our bespoke Pimlico Off Centre Wall Lights finishing off the living area’s ambience.
Hand-plated in a polished nickel finish, our globed Pimlico shade refracts soft, luxurious light across this cocooning living landscape. A harmonious display of elements working to their strengths, whilst augmenting one another in equal measure.
Our Pimlico Off Centre Wall Light comes with a (wet-friendly) IP44 rating and makes a striking addition to modern bathrooms, hallways, living and kitchen areas.
Although our Pimlico’s are dramatic enough to perform beautifully as standalone’s, many opt for a duo arrangement as clients often elevate their wall lamps and flush mounts either sides of mirrors, doorways and portraits for balanced and symmetrical lighting.
