DESIGN CENTRE, CHELSEA HARBOUR
Our design week at the Design Centre began with building a stand we’d spent months conceptualising. The overall theme was minimal, contemporary yet relatable, luxury pieces you could integrate easily into existing residential and commercial interiors. Ranging from modern spheres and droplet-inspired pendant lights to bespoke wall and surface mounts we felt compelled to reflect the true artistry of glassblowing and how lighting can perform functionally and sculpturally, granting the best of both worlds.
With Focus/24 often bringing unique craftsmanship and exceptional quality under the spotlight, we created a fairly immersive stand where clients could inspect the quality of hand-blown glass and experience the beauty of handcrafted lighting first-hand. Our lighting specialists Andrew and Kabir took the initiative on, taking the space, dimensions into account and the drop of the ceiling in order to ensure a display that worked harmoniously.

“We really wanted to create an intriguing scene that drew visitors in, so we implemented our brand new collection front and centre and decided to display some of our most popular pieces adjacent. The layout allowed for every piece to really shine and be studied comprehensively, plus it projected a beautifully balanced display of light.’ Andrew went on to say ‘we wanted to avoid crowding our products – too much and there’s always a chance it’ll be an overbearing experience for the public. The ambience came together as planned, contemporary, minimal – just perfect.”

For the installation, our cluster collections were suspended without visible ceiling plates. The floating, seamless execution made for a more uncluttered finish – a nod to the overall resounding theme of contemporary, luxury lighting design. From our most popular piece, the Kingston rod pendant light (left) to our riveting new collection at the centre of the exhibit (middle) these dramatic ensembles added a lovely illuminative impact. Alongside the clusters, our Temple pillar lights made an appearance in four different sizes, with our brand NEW Temple flush mount making its debut in a series of diverse glass profiles (right).
With all of our products were hand-blown and assembled within our London glassblowing studio and over a century in the glass industry, it was a joy to recount some of our journey with our visitors. We had the pleasure of discovering new clients and reconnecting with familiar faces from previous projects, whilst soaking up design inspiration across the board. Thank you Focus/24 for an unforgettable week!
